SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) Permissions Report
You can use the following steps outlined below to run a report on permissions for a given SharePoint site. The account you use to run the report MUST have access to the site and be an administrator. Once the report finishes running it will be placed in a folder of your choosing and be in an .XLSX format. This report can then be downloaded and formatted to add to the readability.
1. Log into the Microsoft 365 portal (https://portal.office.com) as a Global Admin.
2. Navigate to the SharePoint Admin section

3. Expand Sites, then click on "Active Sites"
4. Locate the SharePoint Site and click on the URL

5. Locate the Settings icon in the upper right hand corner of the page, click on it, then click on "Site Settings".

6. Click on "Site usage"

7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Run Report"

8. Select the desired folder to save the report or create a new folder

9. After a few minutes the report will appear in the selected folder from above.

10. Download the report and format as needed.
